INSPIRATION

"I wrote the “The Volunteers” as the preface for my book “Everyday Masters”.  I wanted a short story that would set the tone for the rest of my book that describes ho‍‍‍w my life has changed and evolved since discovering the Reconnective Healing frequencies.  And with my daughters input and support I was able to create this video version of  “The Volunteers”.

"Peacocks, baby! Simutaneously s‍‍‍haring the same encounter on two continents!"

Note to‍‍‍‍‍‍ Self:

Many of us expect a moment of re‍‍‍alization to be larger than life...

Peacocks sound like large house cats. Who ‍‍‍knew?

But often it may look just odd, even non-sensical at first.  It comes into perspective when we realize the staggering odds for these (funny!) instances to take place.‍‍‍

We had traveled to separate places, on the same week, to Portugal and the Nevada desert. On the same day, a Saturday, we exchanged pictures of our recent adventures.

We basically exchanged the same pictures.

Peacocks had taken it unto themselves to turn up for us , at the balcony of the Porto Airbnb, and at a desert preserve, and in both instances had become companions - to me, for the remainder of the day, and to Eric and Jillian for the duration of their stay.

We  also realized that day we had ‍‍‍all made the same discovery as well... What we had thought were the meows of cats turned out to be the calling cries of these beautiful creatures!

Nonsensical and a little absurd, right? And that may be the whole point.  It's not about the meaning of seeing peacocks (we could ascribe to them any and all meanings), or interpreting the common experience beyond being just that, a common experience. Thes‍‍‍e m‍‍‍oments are gentle nudges that remind us ‍‍‍that everything is, potentially,  a discovery, a treasure hunt, and we can only truly appreciate them when we leave our expectations and interpretation behind.

‍‍‍It's a Disc‍‍‍‍‍‍overy!

Might meow like a peacock...
